Sex Related Offenses, State & Federal: Whether its Sexual Assault, Criminal Solicitation of a Minor, Online Solicitation of a Minor, Internet Sex Crimes, Child Molestation, Child Pornography, Traveling with the Purpose of Engaging in Illicit Sexual Activity, Trafficking for Sexual Activity, Sexual Exploitation & Other Child Abuse, Transportation for Illegal Sexual Activity and all other sex related cases. In the mind of a prospective juror, all sex cases initially involve a instinctive gut reaction that the defendant is guilty and must pay! We work hard to insure our clients whole story is seen by the jury, that he or she is viewed as a person, not a monster. Effectively humanizing the client is the key to a successful defense. Drug related Offenses, State & Federal: Our clients include defendants charged with continuing criminal enterprises, drug smuggling, conspiracy, possession, trafficking, and narcotics manufacturing cases. Also, felons in possession of a firearm and using a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking offense. Whether you face an arrest warrant or have already been arrested, we will help ensure you get the best possible defense. White Collar Crimes, State & Federal: We have defended cases involving federal conspiracy, money laundering, conflicts of interest, embezzlement, bribery and fraud cases, as well as criminal cases involving governmental contracts. Federal Sentencing Guidelines: Prosecution in Federal Court orbits around the calculation and manipulation of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines. While these guidelines have been declared by the United States Supreme Court as only advisory, all federal judges must consider and give great weight to them. Our Firm has a particular expertise in using these guidelines to our clients advantage. Our clients are fully informed of the impact these guidelines can have on their life and are able to make an informed decision prior to going to trial. Driving While Intoxicated, DWI: DWI practice is the most complicated of misdemeanor law. A DWI arrest actually involves two cases. A Criminal (DWI) and a Civil (Automatic License Revocation). Most clients do not realize the significance of the Civil case and the short filing deadlines to request a hearing on it. We insure our clients rights are fully protected by requesting the appropriate civil hearing. If the client has taken a breath test, the science behind challenging the Intoxilyzer 5000 (breath test machine) can be formidable. We understand the science behind the machine (infrared photo-spectrometer using Henry's gas law) and are able to effectively challenge its use in court. The science aside, DWI cases are won or lost on the opinion of the police officer. A complete understanding on the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests is critical to the cross examination of the police officer. Louis and Robert have represented numerous clients in both breath test and non breath test cases. Other Crimes: CRIMINAL DEFENSE IS ALL WE DO! Felonies or misdemeanors, we know a client's case is the most important in the world to them and we address each client's individual needs accordingly! |
